How Can I Prevent Periodontitis?
Periodontal disease can negatively affect not only our oral health, but our overall physical health. Today, our Orléans dentists define periodontitis and offer tips on what you can to help fight and avoid it.
Invisalign clear aligner treatment offered at St. Joseph Orleans Dental Centre can provide many patients with a convenient treatment process for straightening teeth without the need for traditional braces.
We will begin by examining your smile to determine if Invisalign is right for you. Next, we will use a digital scanner to create a 3D image of your smile and what it could like like with Invisalign treatment.
Based on the decisions we made in your first appointment, we will map our a precise Invisalign treatment plan for you. This plan will include the movements of your teeth with each set of aligners.
We will craft a series of clear aligners just for your needs. You will wear them each day and remove them to eat, drink, brush and floss your teeth. As your treatment progresses, your aligners will gradually start to shift your teeth.
Approximately every 2 weeks, you will switch to the next set of clear aligners. You will also have brief checkups with your dental team – every six weeks or so – to review your progress.
It's an exciting day when you reach the end of your treatment! During your final appointment, we will discuss next steps with you, and prescribe retainers to keep your teeth in position.
